Description: Caring Neighbors is a program that provides a volunteer to help seniors in the N. Orange County area do their weekly needs such as grocery shopping, running errands, assisting with light housekeeping, as well as other needs and special requests.
Ages: must be 18 years of age or older.

Additional Info: Prospective volunteer should have at least 6 hours per month to donate to this program and commit to a term of 6 months. Volunteers in this program are required to have a valid California drivers liscense and proof of auto insurance.

Description: The Long-Term Care Ombudsman is a federal and state mandated program that monitors and advocates for residents living in nursing facilities including skilled nursing and board and care. We are recruiting individuals that would like to train as Ombudsman
Ages: We are interested in a preferably retired individual
Event Date: Long-Term Care Ombudsman Volunteer Training
Additional Info: The 36 hour Long-Term Care Ombudsman training is scheduled for May 3,4,5,10,11,12,22016 from 9-3pm at the Council on Aging-Orange County. We ask for 12-15 hours per month on a flexible schedule and a commitment of one year.
