Fullerton Collaborative General Meeting Topic:
Early Development Index (EDI): Local Data & Kindergarten Readiness

Join fellow Fullerton Collaborative members for a presentation by the Early Childhood Subcommittee focused on the Early Development Index (EDI)—a population-level measure that helps us understand how prepared young children are to enter kindergarten.

This general meeting will feature local census tract–level EDI data and invite participants to complete a brief community survey led by Cool OC, with incentives provided. Together, these data sources will help inform early childhood planning, outreach, and collaborative action.

Agenda Highlights:

• Overview of the Early Development Index (EDI) and its role in assessing kindergarten readiness

• Local census tract–level EDI results

• Cool OC early childhood survey findings and incentive opportunities

• Discussion on implications for early childhood programs and systems
